Helping Haiti

In light of my previous post I would like to talk about something serious:

As you all know earlier this week an earthquake struck the island of Haiti. You've seen the pictures and have seen the stories. It's been emotionally draining over the week watching everyday as the video pour in from over there showing the death and destruction. Like the rest of you, it kills me that I just can't get up and go over there and physically help.

I don't have a personal connection to Haiti but a lot of my friends from college have visited there on mission trips and are emotionally invested in the people and the island. They've inspired me to do my best to reach out and help the people of Haiti. Below are some legitimate resources to check out if you want to donate money or your time:

Remember just because it's the end of the week doesn't mean it's the end of the tragedy for the people of Haiti. This is an ongoing mission.

A quick side note. You may have heard what Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh are saying about the earthquake, the people involved, and those trying to help. Don't listen to them. If you haven't heard what they've said ,then just ignore them. The things they said are lies. Also remember, just because they say terrible thing, you don't have to do the same to retaliate. Your hate/anger justifies their hate/anger.

Do the right thing.
